Everything from a Classic Ford

- You have the right to have your vehicle repaired at a repair shop of your choice.
- You are not obligated to take your vehicle to a shop where
your insurance company may try to direct you to. Even though the
Insurance Company has an insurable interest in your vehicle, you
own it, not them and you have a right to take it to any shop of
your choice as long as the car is repaired by their estimate ,
done properly and guaranteed.
|
- In most cases, the insurance company has a contract with the
shop they will try to direct you to. Some shops are contracted to
discount their labor rates to them as well as to use recycled
junkyard parts and parts made in Taiwan. We would rather pass any
discounts on to our customers.
|
- You have a right to get a copy of your insurance company
estimate and the actual repair estimate at the body shop.
- You have the right to see each and every invoice for every
part installed on your vehicle.
- You have the right to collect damages for diminished value
(diminished value applies to mostly new cars and upper end luxury
and exotic cars) for
your vehicle. No matter how perfect your repair turns out, the
vehicle still has been involved in a wreck and it does affect it's
value.
- You have the right to loss of use (a free rent car) provided
by your insurance company if you are a claimant and the insurance
company has accepted liability.
- You have the right to collect for tax, title and license
should your vehicle be deemed a total loss by your Insurance
Company. It is part of your loss.

BEWARE. Shops that
advertise " Genuine Certified parts" may not be refering to a part
that has been made by you vehicle manufacturer. Most aftermarket
parts are called Certified but are still aftermarket!
